DESCRIPTION:Between us\, we’ve designed and built over 100 gardens. On this half-day workshop we’ll spill the beans and reveal the plants that we rely on to work well in any garden. We’ll explain how understanding the six layers of planting that occur naturally in any English garden can help you design successful planting. The course looks at trees\, shrubs\, herbaceous perennials\, climbers\, bulbs and groundcover planting\, suggesting reliable plants for each layer. We finish up by talking about the essential steps for getting plants established\, as even the most bomb-proof plant will struggle without a little care and attention when it’s young.
