Summer Flower Posy Workshops
Spend a relaxing morning learning how to make a beautiful hand tied posy using fresh Summer flowers bursting with colour and scent. With step by step guidance you can take your time, crafting your own unique bouquet of seasonal blooms. You’ll learn our top tips for the spiral technique, widely used by professional florists but straightforward to master. This technique keeps your flowers in place when they are dropped into a vase. We also share a quick and simple way to wrap your bouquet so that it becomes a perfect gift wrapped arrangement. I promise, you will never be stuck for present ideas after this workshop.
This workshop is run in a choice of venues and your ticket includes entry to either Bowood’s grounds or Westonbirt Arboretum so you can spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the attractions. Bowood is a grade 1 listed Georgian country house with interiors by Robert Adam and a garden designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Westonbirt Arboretum is one of the most diverse and beautiful botanical collections in the world. The Walled Garden at Mells is a hidden gem and is found in the heart of this pretty Somerset village and offers many good walks nearby.
Plus as an absolute treat for anyone who loves both flowers and gardens we have included your own guided tour of Lord and Lady Lansdowne’s private walled gardens to one of our spring posy workshops. Only booked tours are given access to this 4 acre walled garden which is remarkable for its ornamental planting and includes a fabulous double herbaceous border. Combined with a delicous lunch this makes a wonderful day out.
