In 2015 we began The Crafty Gardeners Flower and Garden school. Both myself, and my dear friend Michelle Wake, who sadly passed away in 2020, are award winning garden designers and we’d always dreamed of creating workshops that offered people a way of expressing their creativity and love of nature’s beauty, both outside and inside their own homes. With The Crafty Gardeners we could share our  pooled expertise, along with plenty of clever tips and tricks for making gardens look amazing or turning a bunch of flowers into a fantastic floral arrangement.

Our garden design workshops cover everything you need to make your dream garden come true. Starting with knowing which are bomb proof plants, to how to create beautiful borders or making the most of your garden with the best layout we’ve distilled all you need to know into a workshop. And our flower arranging workshops teach you the techniques a florist would use to make beautiful bouquets, stunning vase arrangements or welcoming festive Christmas wreaths.

And it’s not just what you’ll learn in your workshop that you’ll enjoy it’s the setting too. Bowood House and Gardens and Westonbirt Arboretum  are two of the most inspiring places in the South West. You’ll have plenty of time to explore them afterwards as our workshops are either half day or short full days.making them the perfect mini treat and easy to fitting around your busy lives.

You don’t need any previous experience for our flower arranging workshops. I start with a step by step demonstration before you have a go yourself. And by keeping the group small with a maximum of 10 others, it givies you all the time and space you need to let your confidence and creativity grow.

Everything for your chosen garden planning workshop is included, such as a drawing kit, pens and paper and each one is suitable for all levels of knowledge and experience,
