Hanham Court Summer Flowers & Tour
July 18, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
VENUE: Hanham Court, near Bristol. Come and spend a relaxing day playing with flowers in the inspiring surroundings of Hanham Court. In the morning you will learn how to make a simple hand tied posy of beautiful summer flowers. The workshop explains the technique of ‘spiralling’, providing step by step guidance and giving you plenty of time to practise and perfect your skills. Spiralling keeps your flowers in place so they don’t move when you put them in a vase. At the end of the day you’ll leave with a fabulous arrangement of summer blooms, having learnt a new skill you’ll want to use time and time again.
After an alfresco lunch under the loggia, the owner will take us on an exclusive tour of one of the West Country’s great gardens. Designed by Julian and Isabel Bannermans, Hanham Court is a deeply romantic traditional English garden with a lake, fountain, folly, stumpery and meadow. The Bannermans also created a stumpery for the Prince of Wales at Highgrove. This private garden is rarely open to the public and places are limited, so book soon if you would like to join us.
