Planning Garden Borders

Does the planting in your garden run out of steam half-way through the season? Designing a garden full of plants that look attractive all year requires some forward planning.

On this day long workshop we share the key tips and techniques that professionals use to keep gardens looking great all year round. We focus in particular on herbaceous perennials, the flowers that we rely on for months of colour in the border. At the end of your day, you will have completed your first planting plan and learned a straightforward method for doing the same thing for your own garden.

A well worked out planting plan will save you money, no more expensive mistakes, and gives you the joy of a flower-filled border for most of the year.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: Tea/coffee throughout the day. Course handout with drawing kit. Entry to Westonbirt Arboretum. Please bring your own lunch or enjoy any of the catering options at the arboretum.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my day with you on Thursday learning about designing flower beds.  I am now back in Dorset and itching to get going on the designated flower bed!  I was lovely for me to be part of a small group and you explained things in such a way that it all made so much sense and was very easy to understand.  It was such a nice relaxed day and even the thunder and lightening did nothing to spoil it.  Considering I spent most of the day on my bottom drinking coffee and eating pizza I was absolutely wiped out that evening.  Must have been all that fresh air!
